Press release from the Jefferson Parish Government: May 13, 2022 JEFFERSON, LA – Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022, both lanes of Craig Ave. between Asher St. and Kawanee Ave. will be closed on a continuous basis. Motorists will detour using Asher St. to Elmwood Pkwy. back to Kawanee Ave. This closure is necessary to replace approximately 850 ft. of sewer gravity at a cost of $500,000. Work is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 6:00 p.m., weather permitting. For more information, please contact Sewerage Department Director Mike Lockwood at 504-736-6671.
