Press release from the City of Iowa City: May 11, 2022 Starting Monday, May 16, 2022, Iowa City Transit will begin operating a summer schedule due to the end of the school year for the University of Iowa and the Iowa City Community School District. Schedule changes are listed below: The Downtown Free Shuttle route will cease operating effective Friday, May 13, 2022. The last departure will be at 6:15 p.m.The AM & PM Eastside Loop routes will cease operating effective Wednesday, June 1, 2022. The last departure will be at 3:05 p.m. Regular service on the Downtown Free Shuttle service will resume on Monday, August 15, 2022 for the fall.
