PORTLAND, OR — A MAX train struck and killed a pedestrian Friday night, according to Portland police. It happened around 10:30 p.m. by East Burnside Street and Northeast 160 Avenue. Police said that officers responded after being informed of the crash by TriMet. The person was dead when they arrived. The train was heading west at the time of the incident. Police have not released any other details other than to say that officers are investigating and if anyone has information, they are asked to contact the Police Bureau's Traffic Investigations Unit at 503-823-2103 or [email protected].
