Tiny bernedoodle rehome

Description

Going through a very tumultuous separation and need to rehome my pup. I refuse to put him in a shelter. I’ve reached out to rescue groups and they suggested I try to rehome him on my own first. So here it goes: He is 7 months old and a complete love bug. He is a tiny bernedoodle currently weighs 13lbs. His personality: Aloof/goofy, sock collector, independent but also attached to the hip to their person, will become obsessed with one person in the household, smart but stubborn when he wants to be, gentle, always hungry, mild activity level, very loyal. He’s not fond of hyperactive dogs. He avoids them like the plague. If you have a docile dog he will be fine with them. I’m unsure of how he interacts with cats. He knows basic commands (up, down, let’s go, sit, paw, “time for bed” = crate time) He is used to me trimming his nails, brushing him on a daily basis, etc. He does not like loud noises when outside for walks. He will bolt if something scares him too much. So I avoid major streets. For that reason I think he would do best living somewhere in the suburbs that’s more quiet. He requires grooming every 6-8 weeks He is prone to matting. I brush him every day to prevent mats. Every 3 days I line brush with a slicker brush then go over it with a comb to ensure there are zero mats. I’d like him to go to a home that is knowledgeable of doodles and poodle needs. Again, I really don’t want to rehome him but think it’s the most responsible decision for me to do at this point. The more details you provide me about yourself, your home, and why you’re interested in max the more likely I will respond. I also have him posted on a rehoming website where they will thoroughly screen every potential adopter and gauge whether they are the right match for Max. If you’d like to go through the website I will send you the link. Again making sure he goes to the right home is my only concern.
