Hello! I am a local teacher and have taken in a red-eared slider and a yellow bellied slider from a family who could no longer care for them. They are both amazing females but have outgrown their enclosure I have in my classroom. I’ve had them in a 55 gL with all the proper necessities, but know they need more space and probably shouldn’t be cohabiting. I’m looking for an experienced person that maybe has an established pond in their backyard or stock tank set up who might be interested in adopting these lovely ladies. Or if anyone knows of any educational programs looking to add aquatic turtles to their facility/program, please share this post. I do not want them released into a park pond or anyplace where they will not be cared for as a pet. They have been in captivity for years and would not survive. Thanks so much!
