I found 6 kittens in my crawlspace on May 4th, and they were very tiny. Now they are much bigger and more active. But, mother is feral, and they will be too if I don't separate them soon. I opened the door and found 3 of them. I took them inside to socialize them and play with them so that they wouldnt be feral. They were also following the neighbor's kids around. I decided to take them back to their mother to feed, and when I opened the door, I found 3 more. Although the kittens were interacting and following us around, the next day, they were back to hissing and being afraid. Now, they are more active and ore agile. It takes about 30 minutes to get them to relax. As much as I hate to separate them from their mother, I am going to go ahead and take them...possibly set up a place inside for mother and kittens, but that's only if she will cooperate and come inside. I am posting this because I would like to make arrangements to adopt them out. Four (4) of them are gray tabby and two are white with gray area. Of the 3 that I sexed, 2 tabbies were males and the one white with gray was a female. I do not want them growing up around here eating all the birds destroying the habitat and worse, breeding. The mother is just a kitten herself. Mother is solid black. I have an appointment on May 28th to have them altered, but if anyone is interested, I can considered letting them go sooner than that appointment..but only if your intentions is to also have them spayed/neutered. She moved them to my garage, and they are desperate to get out of there. I would love them to have a home sooner than this appointment before they get used to going outside. Also, they are already using a litter box. I will post more pictures when I catch them. They are currently living in the garage behind a dresser where I cannot get to them. I only see them when I catch them out playing and trying to eat. Best to text me first and i will call you..otherwise call will go straight to VM which is likely full.
