Description

It’s time to get the band back together. I have been in many bands, I’ve released originals and have toured. I’m now 40 years old with no aspirations of making it big. I just want to have the consistent opportunity of playing live shows in front of a decent crowd with some cool guys for enough cash to feel good about hauling gear. If you google “Best Axl Rose impression in the world”, I’m the number one hit, I’m the first video you see and since 2009 I’ve been in some sort of GnR tribute. If you YouTube John Wood Guns N’ Roses tribute, there is a playlist of almost fifty videos of me performing GnR in front of an audience. It’s fun and lucrative, but decent gigs are sparse. I have an idea for a great band. It’s a Tribute/Cover band that can be used for almost every occasion and fill almost any time slot. I would be the singer, I need a whole band…lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, and drums. This is a tribute/cover band so it is necessary to dress up to look and act the part. The idea is a Guns N’ Roses/AC/DC tribute band…and Pre 2000’s cover band (80’s to 2000’s rock). It would be around 50 songs to learn if you don’t know any, but once it’s learned, we’ll have a legitimate show that can get us in some great venues. The breakdown would be. -15 Guns N’ Roses songs -15 AC/DC songs -20 Rock hits from 80’s to the year 2000 I have created a few bands from scratch and the first thing you gotta know is that to sell a show you need 3 hrs unless you want to find an opener. I’m just tired of splitting gigs and/or having to find an opener. The plan would be to learn 5 songs a month (hopefully quicker) and by this time next year/next summer, we should be gigging out pretty regularly. I also have a good deal of sound recording and video equipment as well as video editing skills for our promos we will ultimately end up making. So, to sum up, I'm creating a -GnR/ACDC tribute/Pre-2000’s cover band -needed: Full band- 2 guitarists, a bass player and a drummer. -50 songs -rehearsal once a month -will have to dress up -no age limit (preferably over 30) Let’s get this started, send me some videos of you performing and I’ll set up some time for us to play once I can get a whole band together. I’m looking forward to rocking with you -John Wood- Axl Rose- https://youtu.be/UAPhcPH6WJU Playlist- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOR9Sm2suN0c4zirMaoDuNlsPKPjSzki_
