We’re an earthworm farm in Kyle that breeds and grows several species of earthworms. The worms are used for home composting and their by-product helps plants, crops, and lawns grow in a faster, more sustainable manner. We sell the worms - along with worm bins, worm castings, and worm farm starter kits - on the internet via an ecommerce site at www.brotherswormfarm.com. We’re growing and seeking 1-2 hard-working, curious persons to join our current team at the “farm” (a 6,000 square foot commercial warehouse). This role is a great fit for anyone curious about earthworms, biology/science, soil health, composting, or the environment. This role comes with an opportunity to take on more responsibility (with increased pay) as the company grows. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with our owner team and learn all areas of our business, with the primary responsibilities including: * Helping with all breeding activities * Feedstock, bedding, and bin prep * General day-to-day care for the worms, including monitoring, troubleshooting, etc. This role requires hands-on work (e.g., some lifting, being on your feet, etc) and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Other details include: Location: Kyle, TX Starting Compensation: $15/hour Hours: Flexible. 10-40 hours per week M-Fri (no weekend help needed unfortunately).
