Crawford Construction Corp. is an experienced individuals & apprentices who specializes in Insurance Hazard Claims, Property Preservation, Tenant Occupied Maintenance Repairs, Full Remodeling of vacant bank owned properties. We are currently seeking a skilled Mason/Concrete, Roofers, HVAC service technicians, Electricians and Plumbers, to join our team to safely perform work on interior/exterior building repairs and restoration. You will work from insurance scopes, work orders, blueprints, specifications, drawings and instructions to design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain and repair various types of facilities and structures; inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work by contractors; estimate cost, time and materials for projects; participate in the maintenance and operation of the Construction Industry. Masonry/Concrete Duties & Responsibilities: • Constructs, maintains, and repairs concrete and other foundations; builds retaining walls, walks, fireplaces, chimneys, stairways and similar projects; mixes mortar and lays common brick, face brick, cinder brick, concrete block, stone, or other materials. • Perform tuckpointing work in the construction or renovation of buildings or additions to existing structures; removing and replacing deteriorated, damaged, and missing mortar in between brick, block, stone and other masonry surfaces. • Examine brickwork or structure to determine need for repair. • Remove excess mortar with trowels and hand tools, and finish mortar joints with jointing tools, for a sealed, uniform appearance. • Fasten or fuse brick or other building material to structure with wire clamps, anchor holes, torch, or cement. • Apply and smooth mortar or other mixture over work surface. • Maintains a neat and safe working environment; follow OSHA/safety guidelines and regulations. • Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Qualifications: • At least two years of tuckpointing or bricklaying experience. • Effective communication with team and clients; organizational and time management skills are a must! • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds minimum. • Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, tools, ladders, and equipment to complete all jobs. • Arithmetic skills such as measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in order to do safely calculate angles, corners, and support fixtures. • Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.). • Ability to travel out of town is a plus. Roofer Duties & Responsibilities: • Diagnose and identify source of leaks and develop plan for repairs ranging from total tear offs to patch work. • Repair and replace a variety of roof types: shingle, metal and flat membrane. • Install/replace gutters and siding. • Set flashing and expansion joints, size and cut roofing materials to properly fit corners, pipes, etc. • Maintains a neat and safe working environment; follow OSHA/safety guidelines and regulations pertaining to fall protection. • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of standard roofing practices, methods, equipment, materials, machines and tools of the trade, use of scaffolding, as well as occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. • Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Qualifications: • At least two years of experience required executing both repair and installation of new roofs. • Effective communication with team and clients; organizational and time management skills are a must! • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds minimum. • Ability to perform in extreme weather conditions, wet and uneven surfaces. • Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, tools, ladders, and equipment to complete all jobs. • Arithmetic skills such as measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in order to do safely calculate angles, corners, and support fixtures. • Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.). • Ability to travel out of town is a plus. • Basic knowledge of code preferred. HVAC Duties & Responsibilities: • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as: operation of heating systems, air conditioners, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in buildings. • Repair and maintain thermostats, air filters, blower fans, belts and bearings. • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various makes and models of HVAC equipment. • Perform routine preventative maintenance. • Verify/inspect contracted repairs to ensure scope is completed properly. • Perform other related duties and assignments as required. • Requires thorough knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices and tools used. Qualifications: • At least two years of experience required executing both repair and installation of HVAC systems and equipment. • Effective communication with team and clients; organizational and time management skills are a must! • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds minimum. • Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, tools, ladders, and equipment to complete all jobs. • Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.). • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues. • Ability to travel out of town is a plus. • Basic knowledge of code preferred. Plumbing Duties & Responsibilities: • Perform troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintenance and repairs of residential plumbing systems according to company standards and public safety codes. • Run plumbing from the water meter throughout home. • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines. • Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems. • Perform routine and preventative maintenance as needed to ensure ongoing functioning of plumbing systems • Repair or replace all fixtures: faucets, sinks, toilets, etc., water heaters, boilers, sump and ejector pumps; perform sewer rodding. • Comply with all applicable public safety codes, standards, policies and procedures, including safety practices and maintenance of a clean work area. Qualifications: • At least two years of experience required executing both repair and installation of plumbing systems and equipment. • Effective communication with team and clients; organizational and time management skills are a must! • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds minimum. • Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, tools, ladders and equipment to complete all jobs. • Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.). • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues. • Ability to travel out of town is a plus. • Basic knowledge of code preferred. Electrician Duties & Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot malfunctions, diagnose, maintain, and repair residential electrical systems according to company standards and public safety codes. • Identify materials and quantities needed for new and repaired systems; provide scope and cost estimates. • Run conduit, pull wires, install/repair lighting, install electrical components and assist with electrical inspections. • Upgrade electric panels. • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems. • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems, including - disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration. • Comply with all applicable public safety codes, standards, policies and procedures, while maintaining a clean work area.
