PHOTOGRAPHER: Submission for Photo Art Book

We are currently working on a photo book project and research existing photomaterial. The photo coffee table book will be published in Fall 2022 by Belgium publishing house www.lannoopublishers.com. and will feature a selection of curated images, exploring the new generation of young fathers. Next to many successful publishing projects in art, design, travel and photography - the publishing house will also donate proceeds from the sale to a non profit organisation - supporting the education of young fathers. We are also in talk with some celebrity dads, who will write the intro to the book. We are looking for real life dad/kids images to be included in the book - Ideally a complete editorial approach and non lifestyle or commercial looking images. In the first round we research existing material. Some photographers also want to shoot new material - with models, friends, and neighbors. The first edits will start at the end of June - so you still have some time to submit - the photos should have an artistic angle and shouldn't be in any way commercial or staged. This can go into the direction of documentary style, capturing special moments, interactions, sadness, joy, worry, pride, helplessness etc. But also go into stunning studio portraits of interesting young fathers. Don't have to be models, but any young non traditional looking dads and their kids would be of interest. It's all about breaking the stereotypes of what it means to be a father in a fresh contemporary way. The images can be also blurry, strangely cropped and lit - all more an editorial feel. Since the coffee table book is an art project - and not a commercial endeavour - we will spend all of our resources and time reconnecting with photographers we worked with, and who showed interest to be a part of it. The book will feature approx 250 images - and since it has also a charitable angle, we unfortunately do not have the budget to offer any licensing fees. So far all of the participating photographers love the theme- and are happy to get full credit in a specific section at the end of the book. There will be a photo thumbnail overview with all names and links to the photographers websites/instagram/syndication agency, or whatever they like to get credit for.
