Search Continues For Missing 15-Year-Old Girl Who Left Group Home

CLEVELAND — A 15-year-old Cleveland girl remains missing after authorities she said left a group home with all of her belongings packed into several book bags last week, Cleveland Police announced on Thursday. Alicia Alvelo was seen leaving the group home on West 104th Street around 7 p.m. on December 15, police said. The girl arrived at the group home the day before after being brought there by the county. According to a report provided by police, the teenager reported not feeling well and was tested for the coronavirus, but tested negative, police said. The girl remained quarantined in her room throughout the day on Dec. 15 and was seen leaving after being brought a meal. Alicia is described as being 5-foot-6, 151 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and has tattoos on both of her forearms and wrists, police said. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans. Police said that it is unknown if she had planned to go to a specific location.
