I am looking for someone to exchange 25 hours of labor per month for free rent and utilities for the summer. I have: - 5 beautiful acres in Whatcom county 15 minutes from Bellingham. - Provide a place to park a van/ tiny house/ mobile home - Water and electricity provided - There is a community space with a beautiful and large kitchen and bathroom for you to share with other residents - Large yoga/movement studio for community use I need: - Basic landscaping and land/building maintenance done. - 25 hours per month in exchange for your rent and utilities and use of the community spaces You: - Have a small tiny home/ trailer/ mobile home/ van - Looking for a temporary place to live for the summer and possibly fall - Enjoys working outside with gardens and landscaping - Has basic building maintenance and repair skills - Can lift heavy objects - Reliable and a good communicator All those who live on this land have the following qualities and we are looking for those who feel like they resonate and would be a good fit. - We all feel gratitude for being on this land and we show it by investing in reciprocal relationships with the humans, animals and plants that reside here. - We all invest in projects that improve our living environment. For example, working in the yard and gardens and making our personal and community spaces clean, beautiful, and inviting. - We live an inspired life working to live our purpose on purpose. - We respect and set clear boundaries. - We do not use recreational drugs, tobacco or alcohol with any consistency. Once in a while is fine but not daily use. - We are down to earth and like to hang out and have casual yet meaningful encounters with each other and especially the kids. - We seek to understand before being understood. - We do our best to make things right when we’ve messed up and forgive those who make mistakes as well. - We are inviting and welcoming and helpful when new people come to the land for events or to visit. - We are high functioning, financially stable, integrous, self-reliant, handy, creative and fun to be around. - It would be great if you loved to garden, landscape, build, create and contribute. - This is a nice blend of community connections with our own spaces for personal time.
