Drawing and journaling from the perspective of a naturalist will captivate you to learn and observe our living breathing planet. It is a fun and easy hobby which helps relief stress and anxiety while still having fun being part of nature. Eldorado Canyon not only offers stunning vistas of sandstone walls, it is also home to many fascinating and beautiful plants and animals. Join us as we sit alongside South Boulder Creek and learn to draw trees, while we take in the sights and sounds of the canyon.
Please arrive a few minutes early, the program will begin promptly at 2: 00pm; meet at Eldorado Canyon Visitor Center located at 9 Kneale Road, Eldorado Springs, CO 80025.This program is for ages 10-up, come with your family!The program is free, but a valid Colorado State Park's Pass is required to enter and can be purchased at the entrance station or visitor center. The fee is $10 per vehicle.Restrooms are available near visitor center The program will focus on drawing and journaling regarding the local plant life specifically the trees that inhabit Eldorado Canyon area as you feel at bliss with natureAll levels of artists are welcome, no experience necessaryPlease bring a sketchbook and any writing tools Staff naturalist, Irlanda will co-lead the walk to Boulder creek and give the presentationWe will send a message to confirm the trip and remind participants to cancel if they can no longer attend, so those on the waitlist can join the walk.
