Join presenters Father Robert Jager and Dr. Myroslava M. Mudrak as they discuss “The Byzantine Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Heritage” “The Byzantine Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Heritage” This presentation will sketch the historical development of the Byzantine Catholic church, starting from Jerusalem, through Constantinople to Europe and United States. Furthermore, the specifics of the Byzantine spirituality will be highlighted. Special attention will be given to the Ukrainian cultural heritage and the present situation in Ukraine. Joint presenters are Father Robert Jager, Pastor and Administrator of St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church in Columbus and Dr. Myroslava M. Mudrak, Professor Emeritus of the History of Art at The Ohio State University. Sponsored by the Catholic Record Society, the presentation will occur at the Catholic Foundation, 257 East Broad Street in Columbus on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome however reservations are required for Annual Spring Lecture and Luncheon.
