A workforce capacity educational opportunity, providing initial training and mentorship for prevention credentialing process. Hamilton County Public Health is partnering with PreventionFIRST! to train recovery professionals in providing prevention strategies. This education series will support any interested professionals mentorship by PF! and initial educational requirements for the Ohio Prevention Credential. Session 2/June 2022 Prevention 101 P2- Prevention Education & Service Delivery for Prevention Professionals This session will provide introduction to the field of prevention, how it relates to Ohio, and how it began with substance use prevention and has expanded to encompass other areas, such as suicide and gambling. Attendees will understand the evolution of prevention as well as the theoretical models of prevention and how it relates to current community efforts. Learning Objectives: 1.
