Join the BPS Department of Student & Community Impact and the Boston Education Fund for an evening of appreciation and community building! You are cordially invited to join the BPS Department of Student & Community Impact and the Boston Education Fund (BEDF) at Lawn on D for an evening of gratitude, community building, and action! The Making Connection Network Series launched in 2021 as part of BEDF’s commitment to serve as a connector and resource facilitator to all stakeholders in Boston’s educational ecosystem. On May 24th, the third installation of the series, we will appreciate the hard-working and dedicated team of BPS youth leaders, staff and partners. Our community of Warrior Healers has worked tirelessly over the course of this year to mitigate barriers to learning and create culturally and linguistically sustaining school communities and central offices. We will lift up the work of the offices within the Department of Student and Community Impact, with whom BEDF has partnered over the past year, and celebrate our collective impact: Boston Community Hub Schools, piloting the BCHS strategy in the 14 schools within Grove Hall and Dual Language cohortsOffice of Health Services, which supports over 130 BPS Nurses Office of Social Work, which supports over 160 BPS Social Workers Office of Restorative Justice, building the capacity of our schools and district offices to implement restorative practices and advance healing Office of Youth Leadership, which houses the Boston Student Advisory Council (BSAC) and supports Student Governments across secondary schools Come prepared to network, eat, play and activate! Learn how you can engage with the Boston Community Hub Schools strategy, enjoy student performances and a brief program at 6:00 PM.
