Authorities said counterfeit Percocet pills laced with fentanyl were responsible for both deaths. The police department has not determined where the 15-year-old acquired the drugs. Investigators with the Prince William County Police Department identified Woods as a suspected distributor through an investigation with the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. On Wednesday, DEA agents alongside police officers and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms searched Woods's home on Palm Road in Woodbridge. Authorities took Woods into custody. During their search, officers found "a small quantity of suspected fentanyl pressed counterfeit Percocet pills, marijuana, two firearms, and items consistent with narcotics distribution," according to the police report. Authorities also determined that Woods sold the counterfeit pills to the 14-year-old who overdosed. Woods was arrested and charged with one count of distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic. His bond is currently listed as "unavailable," according to the police department.
