Here are the top stories in Denver today: Project aims to bury planet-warming carbon. A first-of-its-kind in project in Colorado will take the carbon dioxide that's produced at two ethanol plants in northeastern Colorado, and pump it into a saline aquifer almost a mile underground. (CPR)Bike thefts in Denver continue to increase. Who is stealing all these bikes, and who is buying them? CBS4's Brian Maass digs in, and discovers a murky web of online sellers and bike justice vigilantes. (CBS4) Denver's asking unlicensed parking lots to refund tickets. If you've parked in a private lot in downtown Denver, it's possible you may have received an official looking ticket from Parking Revenue Recovery Services asking you to pay an $80 fine. Turns out many of those tickets were issued from lots with expired permits. (7News) E-bike rebate program reaches capacity in 19 days. The City of Denver's e-bike program has temporarily halted taking any more applications for the e-bike credit program. The projects goal is to get more people on e-bikes, by providing a $400 credit toward an e-bike purchase. (9News) Police searching for suspect that stabbed a doctor in Lakewood. The incident occurred on May 5 at a physician's office located in the 300 block of West Jefferson Avenue in Lakewood. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries.
