We have an opening that may be for you...We are hiring for our Recrafting team, watch to see what we do We restore and rebuild Danner boots sent in from all over the United States. Applicants should be self-starters who take pride in their work! Prior experience is helpful but not required. Are you dedicated and passionate to providing superior service? Do you love to work with your hands? Are you mechanically inclined? Are you experienced with hand tools and/or automated tools? Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Some Overtime required The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed, as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Determines level of boot repairs needed and performs repairs as necessary, ranging from basic hardware replacement, resoling to full rebuilds. Use handcraft tools and semi-automated equipment and machinery daily. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Perform initial evaluation of boots for needed Recrafting Package and/or repairs Able to complete a variety of Recrafting Packages and/or repairs in a timely manner Interact with customers at the service counter as needed: Inspect and explain the needed repairs and options. Problem solving skills. Notify Manager of needed materials. Enters basic data into the computer. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Ability to overcome the learning curve and consistently Recraft an average of 12+ boots per week in 1st year Must be willing to conduct oneself in accordance with Company's Core Values Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of workers Computer proficient for data entry. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Must be able to have effective communication in order to interact with customers and employees Be dependable and on time to work Work independently as well as in a team-environment PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual dexterity Lifting, standing, bending and walking a minimum of 8+ hours a day Must be able to lift/pull 25 pounds with no restrictions Ability to multi-task and problem solve under pressure Critical thinking. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent Craftsman skills and/or leatherwork experience preferred Moderate level of problem-solving skills Mechanically inclined Concern for quality and details Good hand/eye coordination Experience with hand tools and/or automated tools TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED: A wide range of handheld cobbling tools Operating semi-automated equipment and machinery including sewing, sanding and lasting machines. On-site training provided. Ability to utilize computer systems and PC to find information and problem solve Basic skills in Outlook and keyboarding Ability to access and read e-mails ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate to high. Due to the nature of the factory environment, temperature fluctuation can be extreme in cold or hot weather. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports directly to Recrafting Manager.
