'ShopBleecker' Business Initiative Returns To The West Village

WEST VILLAGE, NY — The Greenwich Village Chamber of Commerce announced Friday that ShopBleecker is returning for the fourth straight year. The business initiative features more than 40 West Village stores that will offer incentives, deals, and promotions for the month of November to encourage shoppers. The initiative has some major names sponsoring the push to help local businesses, including Google, Brookfield Properties, Lift, the Village Apothecary, City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, Assembly Member Deborah Glick, and State Senator Brad Hoylman. "We are excited to launch this event again this year. Working together with our sponsors and merchants will help spread the message that Bleecker Street bands together when times are challenging," said Maria Diaz, the Executive Director of the Greenwich Village Chamber, in a news release. "West Village business owners are trying all they can to stay afloat. And we hope that programs like this, and sound policymaking that address the times, will allow businesses to succeed."
