Health Equity: Promoting Culturally Competent Treatment for First Responders The data is alarming: police officers report higher rates of depression anxiety, burnout, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) than the general population. More police officers die of suicide than in the line of duty. Most law enforcement officers do not seek care for mental health issues. On May 23, ERPHealth will convene a roundtable discussion featuring leaders in law enforcement, public policy, and behavioral health experts offering solutions to this public health crisis.
