The Beatles Themed Pop-Up Shop Opens In SoHo

SOHO, NY — Super fans of The Beatles, get ready. Pop-up shop Beatlemania opened Wednesday with a plethora of Beatles-themed gifts and limited edition items, Sony Music announced this week. Sony Music's The Thread Shop and Apple Corps, Ltd. will run the pop-up at 163 Mercer St. just south of Houston Street through Dec. 22 with Beatles-branded merchandise. Shoppers can scoop up finds like Yellow Submarine sweaters, Abbey Road long-sleeved T-shirts, and other merchandise branded for one of the Fab Four's famed tunes. The outside of the building will be adorned with Beatles images and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo ops will be set up inside the shop, practically a requirement for any branded SoHo pop-up. The pop-up features an Abbey Road floor decal, a 1960s mod lounge, an arcade area, and United Kingdom phone booth. Per an announcement about the latest SoHo pop-up, "the unique retail environment immerses fans in the world of the legendary band." Its hours are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday noon to 7 p.m.
