Allied/All-City Is a 39 year old Plumbing and underground utility construction business Seeking Experienced journeyman plumbers To install water and sewer piping to homes and commercial buildings. The responsibility of the plumber will be to ashore that the underground piping was installed correctly with the proper pitch And configured To have a smooth flow with the least amount of fittings and bends. Detail of the responsibilities of the plumber are as follows: 1). Water Service: After an excavation is Completed by the equipment operator The plumber will be responsible to start at the tap in the road And depending on if it's a single service or multiple services because some new homes have a separate irrigation, domestic water, and fire line Which can range in size between 1" and 2". Once the service reaches the property line a new curb valve and curb Box will be installed. Following will be installation of of a meter pit, meter setting and sometimes a backflow preventer. From that point the line would run into the home and be connected to the existing house water service line. 2). Sewer connection: After all excavating And trenching is complete by the equipment operator and laborers The plumber will take the lead And determine the proper direction and pitch using the appropriate Fittings weather the piping is going to be plastic or cast iron. Typical piping connections on the run are going to be hub & spigot With Mechanical connections on both ends. The typical sewer starts at the stub out At the building And continues to the county spur connection at the property line. 3). The plumber doing this type of work needs to be a fully experienced well rounded Plumber that has many years Of Pipe fitting And plumbing layout. And the experience does not need to be the from outside utility Work.
