WHAT'S THE ROLE OF THE PRODUCT ASSEMBLY ASSISTANT? -Working collaboratively with the production team to accomplish the following: -Coordinate with shipping dept. on priorities for products needed for the day’s orders and products needed to restock inventory -Finishing and assembling products using power tools as well as basic hand tools -Organization of workshop area and production equipment -Maintenance of shop area, tools and equipment -Bi-weekly meetings with entire CakeSafe crew to discuss progress, strategy, any issues QUALIFICATIONS -Prior experience working with tools and small power equipment -Hand dexterity and good hand coordination -The ability to learn and retain work procedures; organization -Strong interpersonal skills in both listening and communication - good sense of humor is a plus -Attention to detail and care when manufacturing products, in communication, and the work environment; consistency is valued. SCHEDULE & PAY: -CakeSafe will offer pay based on skill level and experience. -Flexible schedule offered: 15-40 hours per week -Starting Pay and for training period: $13.50 per hour during training period with guaranteed raise upon completion of training if position is offered, with the potential to increase hourly rate as skills and knowledge base grows BENEFITS: For employees working 32 or more hours per week: -Up to 3 weeks Paid Time Off (PTO): For the first 6 months with the company you can use 1 week PTO. After 1 year with the company, you can use 2 weeks PTO. And 3 weeks PTO for every year thereafter. -Unpaid time off can be scheduled on an as needed basis, for doctor appts, family obligations, or vacation before full PTO is reached. This time must be scheduled, and not last minute unless there’s an emergency. -Company subsidized health insurance offered if permanent position is taken. If, when, and how insurance is provided will be based on several factors including employee need. For all employees: -Flexibility in setting up a work schedule that meets the needs of the employee. -Opportunity to have a voice in decisions affecting everything from product offerings, work environment, marketing strategy, manufacturing, and overall operations to improve the efficiency, functionality, and profitability of the company. -Unpaid time off can be scheduled on an as needed basis, for doctor appointments or other obligations.
