Position Title: Jr. Buyer - 1st Shift Wage: $20+/hour DOE Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4:30pm, OT If you have a background in performing a wide variety of duties to include ensuring the timely procurement of warehouse inventory materials and enjoys working with a strong team that lives and breathes high performance doors, we have the perfect role for you. We’re hiring for a Jr. Buyer in Kenosha, WI. Responsibilities for the Jr. Buyer include but are not limited to: - Enter purchase orders into system - Place orders or schedule releases on blanket orders directly to suppliers - Follow up and expedite orders to maintain availability and service goals - Notify Buyer of supplier issues so corrective actions can be planned and implemented - Closely monitor and be responsible for ordering inventory items in assigned commodities to meet desired availability goals, service levels, and customer orders - Work closely with warehouse employees to prevent low inventory - Monitor open purchase orders and ensure ship dates are accurate - Where necessary, negotiate pricing, delivery, and other relevant criteria - Assist materials team in transaction investigation to ensure accurate inventories - Monitor inventory levels, take action to reduce or increase to meet service level needs and inventory level guidelines - Provide customer service team members with information regarding due dates, lead times and prices on items not carried in inventory - Investigate all options where suppliers lead time is in excess of the customer requirements - Contribute and lead corrective action activities when supplier issues arise on assigned parts - Develop working product knowledge on assigned commodities - Clarify questions and issues on invoices - Ensure all inventory transactions for returned goods are correct to maintain proper inventory balances Requirements for the Jr. Buyer: - Knowledge typically acquired through completion of an associate degree in business, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing and inventory control functions in a distribution or warehouse environment - Proficiency in MS Office products - Intermediate knowledge of Excel and past experience using and ERP system Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental Insurance, 401K, and Vacation pay upon hire QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic.
