Maintenance Technician – With $500.00 Sign-On Bonus! Our well-established and reputable client is searching for a knowledgeable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join their Norfolk team and support their residential property management company. Primary responsibilities include effectively managing maintenance and tenant relations across a single-family and duplex portfolio of 95 rental properties in Norfolk. You will contribute to creating a positive and collaborative working environment. Key Job Accountabilities: Maintenance & Repair: handling service requests in a timely and professional manner and provide support to the Maintenance Supervisor; monitor work order progress to ensure tenant needs are executed on time and within budget. Experience Will Include: Knowledge of framing, millwork Drywall repairs, hanging, taping and texturing Carpet & Flooring installation | Tile installation Plumbing | Electrical | LVP and LVT Installation Painting – cabinets, walls and doors Appliance installation (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washing machines) Investigate and resolve tenant complaints while adhering to high quality of standards, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units, completing repairs, and planning renovations. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities on the phone and in-person, and deliver excellent customer service. Qualifications: 5 years of property maintenance experience; preferably with direct responsibility for single-family homes Dedication to service excellence and high standards Excellent communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills Values great attendance and being on time Bilingual A+ (Spanish/English), but not required Must have own tools available Must have reliable transportation Must have good DMV driving record with valid driver’s license Must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm schedule, with on-call flexibility to meet an occasional urgent service need.
