Description
The Packaging Specialist performs a variety of hand oriented and packing duties that may include any or all of the following: Unloading product (cards, packages, envelopes, ribbon, bows, etc.) from a conveyor, table, etc. and placing on a skid or packing in stock boxes/ cartons. May pull and grip cards from a large sheet or single levels. May scrap material from large sheets or one-up cards. May feed collating equipment or operate manual equipment. May set up and operate label machines to provide a variety of printed labels. Responsible for cleaning the equipment and work area. Completes required paperwork and/or computer input on specific SAP screens.
Requires High School Diploma or GED and ability to grasp, lift and carry product weighing 30 – 50 lbs. frequently and up to 60 lbs. occasionally. At least minimal experience using a mouse & keyboard with PC. Job is performed in a standing and walking position approximately 95% of the time. Reaching, twisting, bending, repetitive hand/wrist motion and fine motor skills required 95% of the time. Frequently working at or above shoulder level.
