Hey there, I'm a middle-aged guy newly disabled living in a large beach house just off the Purdy Spit. It's an amazing house with boats, hot tub, sauna available as well as machine shops and woodworking shops. It's only about an acre, but nicely cleared and there is artesian spring water piped around the property. I am wheelchair bound and occasionally need help with household tasks both inside and out. I have an electric vehicle but I prefer not to drive. I have to run errands about three times a month, maybe an hour each. The house is from 1951 and still has all the original finishes. I would really like to bring this house back to its original splendor, as well as the landscaping. But I'm also interested in being creative and being surrounded by creative people. You don't need to think of yourself as an artist, maybe you are a plumber? I'm looking for people who have their own RV or tiny home but need a spectacular place to park it. If you can be useful to my renovating plans, there is no shortage of opportunities to lessen your rent. Ideally, looking for longer term situations. I plan to stay in this house until the end, I would like to make it more the type of place I would like to live. I'm a pretty quiet guy, mostly read, but I get passionate about design and building. My handicap has taken that ability away, maybe you don't already have skills, but are reasonably clever and willing to learn. I don't care what you are, who you want to sleep with, or how you identify. I'm very comfortable with opposing viewpoints. That said, I will want to get to know you a little bit before inviting you to live here. It wouldn't hurt to have some construction skills, but I'm also open to somebody making a few meals a week or doing housekeeping or landscaping in lieu of rent. But you must be a creator. There's lots of room and lots of tools. If TV or video games are your life, probably not a good match. I have little tolerance for drunkenness and absolutely none for methamphetamine use no matter how casual. Almost anything else is negotiable.
