Description

(42yrs 0ld bl0nde........MOMMMMMMM!!!) Bassist/Drummer for rock metal band . . I’m a bass player/ multi instrumentalist in my 40's looking for two guitarists that are texture driven and know how to play with FX’s without over cooking it. A solid, technical drummer that can think outside the box. Lastly, and most important, a female vocalist with a haunting voice that comes across almost ghostly once it’s layered in reverb. I have a number of song ideas in various states that I’d like to develop and build from there. Sound wise I’m going for dark, moody and noisy yet still melodic with some rockin' out thrown in. Explosions In The Sky mixed with early Cure, Joy Division and a dash of Boris come to mind. Though if you’re familiar with Japanese bands like My Dead Girlfriend, Tokyo Shoegazer and Yuragi you’ll have a better understanding of where I‘m coming from. I’m based in Bushwick and have a full studio where we can sketch out ideas and lay down tracks when it comes time to record. Ideally I’d like to get an EP together and start playing shows ASAP. I‘m laidback and easy to work with but please be serious, motivated and able to get together at least once or twice a week in the beginning. I don’t have time to waste with flakes or people with substance abuse problems. Seasoned guitarist looking to join or form an original band. 50s, fit, not out of touch, plenty of stage/studio experience and quality gear. Currently in a project with largely unmotivated people and looking for something more fulfilling. I am not looking to quit my job and hit the road but am hoping to find like-minded people write, record, and play out locally (some travel is fine). I am self taught with loads of influences (Stooges, NY Dolls, Ramones, Pistols, Dead Boys, Television, Nick Cave, Stones, Zep, Neil Young, Sabbath, Motorhead, Bowie, Americana (Lucinda, Steve Earle, Wilco, DBTs, Isbell, The Band, Jason and the Scorchers...), GBV, Replacements, Superchunk, Bash and Pop, Big Star, Hold Steady, Supergrass, Teenage Fanclub, Supersuckers, The Hives, Social Distortion, Rocket From the Crypt, Wyldlife...), Not particular about genre / labels but prefer music with some attitude and rough edges.
