Join CarbonCure and Thomas Concrete over cocktails and apps to learn how you can reduce embodied carbon through concrete. Building materials and construction account for approximately 11% of annual global CO2 emissions. In order to shrink the carbon footprint of new buildings, embodied carbon must be reduced. Jessica Wilson, CarbonCure, will be presenting an overview of global emissions challenges and will discuss how the cement and concrete industry can use innovative CO2 mineralization technology to reduce embodied carbon while maintaining performance. Thomas Concrete will be joining to discuss their practitioner experience in pouring sustainable concrete in the Raleigh-Durham communities.
