Re-homing 2yo goldendoodle

Description
Please make sure to read the entire post. Male - neutered, 2 years old, 60lbs F1B goldendoodle We’ve had this pup for six months and are looking to transfer him to a good home. He is high-energy and loves to play. We’ve taken him through six months of obedience training with a certificate of completion for basic obedience, so he knows essential commands (sit, down, touch, stay, wait). He’s crate trained, house trained, and does well in the car. This dog needs a special home that will give him plenty of outdoor exercise (he’s used to two walks a day) and is willing to work through some pretty severe anxiety and low confidence with new people and other dogs. He is undersocialized and spent the first 18 months of his life with one family (with small children) and had limited exposure to new people and settings. This behavior most often shows up as jumping, humping, and some barking. While he knows foundational basic obedience, he has a hard time paying attention when he’s overstimulated. We’ve consulted with several dog trainers and vets about his needs, and he’ll need patient caregivers who would be willing to build trust and facilitate increasing exposure over time to things that seem really scary or overwhelming to him. That said, he’s not destructive or violent. He does well in predictable and familiar environments – it’s just new people and settings that can be a little tough. He has made incredible strides in his obedience training and with a lot of love, care, and (hopefully!) the right home he could make similar progress with his self-regulation. He’s microchipped and up to date on all his vaccinations, and we’ll include all of his vet information upon his re-homing. We’re also happy to include his favorite toys, dog bed, food, leash, crate, etc. when he is re-homed at no additional cost. If you’re interested, please fill out the questions below and we’ll follow up to arrange a time to do a visit at a public park in Oakland. --- Name/Occupation/Age Why do you want to have a dog?
