Join us May 29th to learn about sustainable food production and help install a market garden and demonstration food forest garden to provide food to underserved communities in Fairfield!
This public, hands-on installation workshop series will create a demonstration food forest garden at the Fairfield Community Seventh Day Adventist church providing an opportunity to learn about permanent beds, hedgerows, and permaculture.
This project is in partnership with Fairfield Community Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Day 1: Sunday, May 29-Bed formation and Perimeter planting
Learn how to create permanent beds for market gardeningVolunteer tasks: form pathways and permanent beds, drip irrigation* wear mask. closed toe shoes, sun protection, bring gloves and water
* Lunch will be provided
*Bring your own lunch if you have special dietary needs
PPE and Social Distancing Guidelines
