Description

Brewvet is a community bike tour with the goal of encouraging folks to get on their bikes and ride to as many taprooms in a day as they can Welcome to the First Annual Twin Cities Brewvet! What the heck is a brewvet? Brewvet is a community bike tour with the goal of encouraging folks to get on their bikes and ride to as many participating taprooms in a day as they can, all while fundraising for Our Streets MPLS, The Minnesota Bicycle Alliance, The Midtown Greenway Coalition and The Saint Paul Bicycle Coalition. The inspiration for the Brewvet comes from the French bicycle event brevet, or, randonneur, which is a bike tour that challenges riders to set destinations within a set time period. The goal is for riders to finish the ride and earn a brevet de audax, or, a certificate of audaciousness. The Twin Cities Brewvet is an all day, DIY style bike tour including Inbound BrewCo Bricksworth Beer Co Blackstack Brewing Insight Brewing EastLake Craft Brewery Bauhaus Brew Labs Fulton Brewing Modist Brewing Co Pryes Brewing Company Lakes & Legends Utepils Brewing Arbeiter Brewing Company Able Seedhouse + Brewery Clutch Brewing Forgotten Star Brewing Co. Think of a bike race mixed with a scavenger hunt mixed with a treasure hunt and a block party to top it off. The ride starts at 12:00pm on Saturday June 11th. Riders can start wherever they wish, at any time they wish, and attempt to bike to as many participating taprooms as they can throughout the day and collect stamps on their rider cards. Each taproom visit earns a stamp on the brewvet card. Each stamp collected on a rider card will be tallied, and counts as an entry to a raffle for prizes at the closing ceremony block party at Forgotten Star Brewing Co. COMPLETE WITH BANDS, FOOD AND OVER $1500 IN RAFFLE PRIZES. Registration cost is $40. Registration includes a rider card, commemorative brewvet swag, and a free beer at Finish Line Brewvet Block Party on June 11th at Forgotten Star! Registrations must be made before June 1st 2022 to guarantee t-shirt and water bottle on event day. Registrations made after June 1st will have merchandise available for pick up at Forgotten Star at a later date. Rider cards can be picked up at Forgotten Star beginning on Monday June 1st and are available for pick up until 5pm on the day of the Brewvet (Saturday June 11th) No refunds. Event is rain or shine. FAQDo I have to ride to all of those breweries?! The only brewery you ‘have’ to visit is Forgotten Star so we can tally your rider card. (You do get a stamp for checking in there, by the way.) If you can make it to all 15, that rules! If you make it to two, that's great too! We’re just happy you want to hang out with us. Where do I get my rider card? You can pick up your rider card starting on Monday June 6th at Forgotten Star. Rider cards will be available for pick up until 5pm on the day of the Brewvet. Do I have to drink beer at every brewery? You don't have to drink any beer if you don't want to! The goal of the event is to get folks on their bikes and around town. Breweries are just fun locations that happen to have beer ;) Do I need to sign up to ride? You need to sign up to be included in the raffle prizes/get some brewvet swag. If you want to ride with your pals to some breweries on a Saturday, by all means do so! Don't let some pesky bureaucracy stop you! What charities are involved? We are excited to be partnering with the Minnesota Bicycle Alliance, Midtown Greenway Association, and the Saint Paul Bike Coalition. All proceeds from the event will go directly to these organizations to help further their goals of making the Twin Cities
