MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police are investigating reports of shots being fired in town Wednesday afternoon. The area in question was near 91 Birch St. and the call came in at about 12:30 p.m. Police closed off Birch Street from Cottage Street to Spruce Street during their investigation. Police said there was no threat to the public and no one was hurt. The investigation is still active and anyone with information on it can contact investigators at (860) 645-5500.
