Here are the top stories in Denver today: Major climate bills survive after mad rush to the end of the 2022 Colorado legislative session. Air pollution, recycling and greenhouse gas emission bills were passed by state lawmakers in the final hours of the 2022 general session that concluded on Wednesday night. (CO Newsline)Denver's newly minted ordinance allows ADUs in three more neighborhoods. Denver City Council gave the green light to allow Accessory Dwelling Units in three Denver neighborhoods, Villa Park, Barnum and Barnum West. (9News) The $400 refund checks from the State of Colorado could be even bigger. Early estimates may have downplayed the value of the rebates that will be sent to all Colorado taxpayers later this year. (KDVR) Town of Superior looking at how to create 'fire zone' new homes. The town is considering making changes to landscaping requirements that create so-called "fire zones." These new zones would require a 5-foot buffer between the house and any vegetation, including plants, trees and grass. (FOX31)Mobile home residents may get the help they weren't asking for. What was most wanted was rent stabilization, but that got nixed from the bill early on.
