Press release from the El Paso Community College: May 5, 2022 EPCC salutes Valle Verde Early College High School graduate, Angela Lopez who earned her high school diploma and a degree from EPCC when she graduated. She continued her studies with the accelerated bachelor's nursing program at Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) of El Paso. Now, at the age of 19, she works as a nurse at El Paso Children's Hospital. Lopez says she feels grateful to have found the way to study the career she wanted to pursue here at home, and now she is able to provide medical services here in the city where families previously had to travel long distances. Valle Verde ECHS is a proud partnership between EPCC and YISD where students are able to simultaneously earn their high school diploma and a degree or certificate from EPCC. EPCC is proud to partner with area school districts and institutions of higher education to ensure we are helping students achieve their goals while strengthening the workforce in our region.
