High: 97 Low: 70. Here are the top stories in Austin today: Brett Matens was recently selected the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Heart Hospital of Austin, located at 3801 N. Lamar Blvd. He replaces "David Laird, who recently retired after 16 years as the hospital's CEO." David Huffstutler, president and CEO of St. David HealthCare said, "Brett's experience growing hospital operations in both Denver and Austin, combined with his knowledge of our market and our health care system, make him the ideal person to build on Heart Hospital of Austin's legacy as one of the highest performing cardiovascular facilities in the nation." The Heart Hospital of Austin "is part of St. David's HealthCare" and is "one of the highest performing cardiovascular facilities in the nation, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease." (Heart Hospital of Austin) A "radiological incident" exercise called "Cobalt Magnet 22" will be held all of next week in Austin. As part of the exercise "led by the Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)," local "government agencies will join together to practice their response systems to nuclear attacks." At that time, Austin residents may see "field teams in protective clothing using radiological monitoring and detection equipment, low-flying aircraft conducting data-gathering overflights, and groups of first responders and others staged at various locations." (The Hill) The University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Track and Field meet took place at Austin's Mike Myers Stadium on Thursday, May 12. During the event, various Austin-area athletes from different high schools participated in the sports events. "The Field of Light Austin installation" which opens on Friday, Sept. 9, "will celebrate the natural topography of Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center." The exhibition by Bruce Munro "will span over 16 acres and displays 28,000 stemmed spheres that are solar powered" and "will use and blend in with the natural topography of the Wildflower Center to showcase the intersection of art, nature and technology." Sheffield Zilker Hillside Theater located at 2206 William Barton Drive." The first "production made possible in collaboration with the City of Austin's Park and Recreation Department" is a romantic comedy titled "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Performances will start at 8 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday, and ending on Sunday, May 29.
