Description
Press release from the Anoka County Government:
May 3, 2022
Anoka County Highway Seasonal Load Limits will continue to be in effect until 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
Although MnDOT has removed their seasonal load limits in the metro area, Anoka County has decided to delay the removal of the limits due to the cooler than normal temperatures, prolonged cold nights below freezing, high moisture levels in the soils and the delayed thawing of ground frost. This decision has not been an easy decision, although the Anoka County Highway Department is protecting further deterioration of our system throughout the county. This past winter has resulted in significant roadway deterioration on some of the county's roadways.
Please refer to our approved weight limit map at https://www.anokacounty.us/DocumentCenter/View/4543/2022-Road-and-Bridge-Restrictions to ensure you're meeting weight restrictions within Anoka County.
If you have any questions you may contact Anoka County Highway Department at 763-324-3100.
