Other skills required are the ability to read blueprints and has some knowledge of CNC programming. Company Overview Robert D. Harger founded Harger Lightning Protection, Inc. in May 1960. The company initially focused on the design and installation of lightning protection systems for commercial and residential structures. Responsibilities: Assists Tool Room Manager in building of new fixtures and dies.Makes modifications to programs for machiningReads blueprints, understands requirements, dimensions, tolerancesLoads programs into CNC machining centers, modifies programs as needed.Sets up fixtures/positions part Set up and run CNC equipment in Tool Room Changes offsets as neededMeasures finished quality of parts with gagingRuns manual machines as neededResponsible for following safety rules as well as using safe procedures.Keeping all tools and supplies in their work area and put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.Maintain a safe work environment.Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High School diploma or equivalent.Ability to read blueprints/drawingsCNC Programming or enrolled in equivalent classesTMA Apprenticeship program enrollment desiredMechanical aptitude.Mathematically literate.Communicate effectively.Knowledge of various types of equipment and processes such as: o Air and power tools o Rulers, tape measures and gages o CNC Equipment Ability to work independently.
