Press release from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry: May 11, 2022 The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), the most distinguished institution in the nation that focuses on the study of the environment, is pleased to announce commencement exercises will be held at the Ranger School in Wanakena, New York May 14. The College will hold commencement ceremonies at Clifton Fine Central School in Star Lake, New York, at 11 a.m. May 14 to award associate in applied science degrees. Those graduates will include 22 students in the forest technology program, 28 in the environmental and natural resources conservation program, and seven in the land surveying technology program. "Our Ranger School graduates have completed a rigorous and unique program that has prepared them to either move into careers in conservation, forestry and surveying, or continue their academic journey toward a Bachelor of Science degree at ESF's main campus," said ESF President Joanie Mahoney. "Congratulations to our Ranger School graduates and thank you for Improving Our World." Program scholars will be honored during the ceremony. This year's scholars are: Maple Leaf awardees, President's and Dean's List recipients, and inductees into the Forest Technology Honors Society will also be honored. Guest speakers will include Dr. Samuel Mukasa, ESF executive vice president and provost, and Chris Westbrook, Ranger School Alumni Association president.
