WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police on Thursday identified the man wanted in connection to the stabbing of a Worcester Regional Transit Authority bus driver on Wednesday near Lincoln Plaza. Worcester police released a surveillance image of a 28-year-man on social media, and asked anyone who has seen him to call police. Police also advised residents to "use caution" and "do not approach." The stabbing happened around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday near the Denny's restaurant near Lincoln Plaza. Police said the attacker got on the bus and stabbed the driver, then ran. The incident drew a large police response to the busy shopping area. Police said the bus driver's injuries were not life-threatening, although the driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
