Description
Maggie is a very kind, gentle, quiet, and sweet girl. It absolutely breaks my heart to give her up as she is quite honestly a great dog but I just don't have enough time to give her the attention she needs. I'm looking for a new home for her where she can get more attention and can spend more time outside on land as I live in the city and it isn't the best fit for her. She is 2 years old, 56 lbs, and a retriever, terrier, and pitbull mix (not 100% for sure, guess given by humane society). She is fixed and has her vaccines. She is great with kids and one on one with other dogs but large groups such as the dog park are not a great fit. A cat might take a little time to get used to, she lives with one now, and, for the most part, it has been good but there have been a few incidents of Maggie chasing the cat. She is housebroken and is great at learning new skills. She is smart and loving. When I got her they said she was kennel trained but recently she has been having a tough time and whining. She has bent the cage and escaped 2 times now, I'm not sure if it is a phase because she used to do fine but I'm sure with some training and effort she would get better. Ideally, she wouldn't be left in a cage for a large part of the day but she has been able to be kenneled while I was at work with no accidents. If I were in a different place in life I would keep her in a heartbeat but right now is not the best time for me and I know she would be happier with someone who has some land (if you have a farm that's a plus!) and more time to give her all the attention she needs. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about Maggie. I would want to do a meet and greet with you if you are interested to see if Maggie is a good fit and there will be a rehoming fee to ensure that she goes to a good home. Serious inquiries only, Maggie is amazing and I want her to have an amazing home.
