Hiring part time- 2 -3 days a week for a reclaim / recoat position at a local screenprinting company. $15/hr
No experience required. You will be responsible for cleaning screens and press parts, and you will also learn to coat screens for re-use. You will learn the basic pre-press/post-press processes of screenprinting.
The hours will be 10am-5pm Monday and Wednesday and Fridays are optional.
This job is basically 'recycling' aluminum silk screen frames by removing ink + emulsion from the mesh inside the frames. Once the frames are clean then they are recoated with emulsion and placed in a rack. It is a very important step in the process of screenprinting, but it is the dirty work, similar to washing dishes in a kitchen. Not going to sugarcoat it.
It's a job for someone who doesn't mind being left alone to crush some work, earn some money and get on with their day.
