We are a licensed masonry contractor in Washington & Oregon whom specializes in brick, block & stone installation and/or restoration projects, through-out the Pacific Northwest area. We are seeking full time, year round, mason's assistant to join our team. We are seeking career minded individuals who are seeking long term employment Positive Attitude is most important to our team, therefore, required. Team work is a must. Safety is our #1 priority on all of jobsites, must be willing to learn and adhere to all safety policies. Minimum requirements: Masonry Work Experience (useful), Education (HS Diploma or GED) required. All applicants must be willing to adhere to our drug and alcohol policies, and be able to pass a drug & alcohol test. Great work attitude! Qualifications: High school diploma/GED, must be able to read, write and speak English, must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate to coworkers in both written and verbal form. Attention to detail is a must. Must be able to work independently, and within our team. Must have a current Drivers License Must be authorized to work legally in the United States Skills & Experience Required: 1-2 years Verifiable work experience in the construction industry Duties & Job Description: Assist mason's who preform skilled masonry work, building, altering and repairing brick, stone, CMU, Block Structures, precast installation, etc. Must be willing to learn how to mix mortar, pack brick, block and stone. Cutting of brick, block & stone. Cleaning up jobsite areas, running errands if needed, assist with loading and unloading masonry tools, equipment, and materials. Washing with pressure washers and hand held tools or equipment. Assembling scaffold and Hydro Mobile; other general laborer duties; must be able to take and follow instruction. Essential Functions Physical: Work is a combination Standing, Walking, Sitting, Bending, Twisting, Lifting and climbing. Must be able to climb stairs, mast on Hydro Mobile Units and conventional scaffold platforms Must be able to lift or carry 50 lbs. - throughout the day to complete necessary work Must be able to work from heights on Hydro Mobile Scaffold/Conventional Scaffold Must be able to climb ladders Must be able to work on platforms and scaffolding completing masonry work as required Reliable transportation required- as job sites are located at multiple locations in OR and WA areas.
