Hiii, this is my foster dog Apollo and he needs a forever, ever home! Due to his breed, you should probably be a homeowner. I would say his perfect home has children, a decent yard, other dogs and I do not know how he is around cats. Apollo is 3 1/2 years old. He had his first round of shots 04/23/22 and was neutered and microchipped 04/29/22. Booster shots are scheduled for May 14th. He has a vet plan with Banfield until 04/29/2023. There is a rehoming fee to cover a portion of these costs. Apollo is a pretty lazy guy at my low energy house, but he definitely wants more action. He loves walks and would probably love the dog park, but I’ve not been able to take him out post shoulder surgery. He’s not terrible on the leash, but is very strong so if he wants to check something out he absolutely will. Apollo is 100% house trained and not destructive at all. He does have separation anxiety and needs a person who won’t have to leave him for extended periods of time, like a full work day. He gets really sad. I’m working from home right now and he pretty much snoozes until my work day is over and doesn’t beg for attention. Some pets here and there, but not pushy. Super sweet with my cattle dog, but again, not sure about cats. Haven’t witnessed any aggression from him, but he does present some dominant behaviors and gets very excited around new dogs and people. He just wants to play! He will try and rest his head on other dog’s necks and then a little poke with the nose. He then jumps into a play crouch. Somewhere along the way he discovered annoying a dog in this way will eventually get them to play. Absolutely no food or treats aggression. Would probably enjoy wrestling with his person if you’re strong enough. He seriously loves people and teens/kids, maybe not the best guard dog because of that, but he’s got a big scary bark for stranger danger.
