First Informational Meeting on 5/19/2022! If you are interested in learning to care for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, consider our Respite Care Training Program. Most positions in this field require experience, and Respite Care is a great place to start a rewarding career helping children or adults with special needs! The CISS Respite Care Training Program is a job training program for people who have limited or no experience providing support to individuals with disabilities. Our Level One training program offers free in-person and online classes that are open to the public. Those who successfully complete the training and wish to be considered for employment as a Respite Caregiver at CISS, may be invited to Level Two and matched with a Respite Caregiver Mentor for on-the-job training in a family’s home.
