GREENVALE, NY — A Roslyn woman has been arrested after police said she left her two young children in an SUV in Greenvale and went grocery shopping with a third sibling.
Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Emily Bonilla Ramirez left two children, ages 6 and 4, alone in a 2016 Nissan Rogue and took a third child into a Stop & Shop store at the Wheatley Plaza shopping center, police said. Police arrested the mother and turned the children over to their father.
Ramirez, 31, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was issued a desk appearance ticket and was expected to appear in first district court on Oct. 5.
