7/2/20 GENERAL Needs a new home NOW!! Ronkonkoma LONG ISLAND, NY!! ~Lisa 5/8/20URGENT!! HELP needed for sweet sweet family cat named General or he will be euthanized. The cat is located in Ronkonkoma NY (long island). From the poster:"My cousin reached out to me today to see if I could help re-home their diabetic cat. He texted "Hi Michelle, its cousin Brett. I need help with one of our cats that Matt has now. We cant really care for him. He is diabetic, and Matt tried the shots and insulin. Cat needs more care than we can give. We tried for years. Can you help find a place for him? The last time we called the shelters they wouldn't take. We will have no choice but to put him down. He is between 7-8 years old. Matt has lots of food, needles, insulin, etc. He is a good boy with problems we are not equipped to deal with. I'll make a very generous donation to any org that will take him." (Matt is my cousins adult son who took cat when his parents couldn't keep up with his treatments). I then texted Matt who described kitty as "He's very friendly. Loves attention. Loves people. Loves cuddling on bed or couch. Walks outside with kids and mailman. Very easy going." My heart breaks for this poor cat. His name is General. I tried to offer him support and help and he said he just can't handle it. His levels is in the 400s and he gives 3 on the syringe.
