$40 per hour for one simple weekly chore.
We need our recycle bins put out to the curb for pickup on Wednesday evenings and put back on property the next morning. This takes twenty minutes on Wednesday evenings and twenty minutes on Thursday mornings.
We will pay $120 per month for this service, which averages out to $40 per hour. There is a window of 5:30-8:30pm on Wednesdays and a window of 9:00am-noon on Thursdays to do this chore.
We are looking for someone who lives very close to our property to do this. The chore must fit easily into your regular daily routine to work well for you long term. The $40 figure only works if it takes very little time to get here; it does not make sense to drive here twice a week just for this chore. Those interested should live very close to the area between the Don Diego/Camino de los Marquez intersection and Early Street, or within walking distance to Wells Fargo on Cordova Rd.
This chore involves almost no janitorial work. It is simply rolling the bins out to curbside and taking them back again. At most, it might involve pushing recycling down into the bins so the tops close, or picking up a few pieces of trash dropped during pickup. However, the bins are sometimes moderately heavy, so some strength and coordination is necessary.
Payment will be monthly. We will consider this work to be done by an independent contractor, and will issue a 1099 at end of year. We will pay state and local gross receipts tax on top of the $120 per month. Checks will be issued by our Management Company.
Please respond by describing the area you live in and how well this would fit into your regular schedule. Thank you.
