JOB DESCRIPTION The Commercial Furniture Mover is responsible for moving, loading, unloading, and setting up furniture and items safely and without damaging it as required / requested by client. To do that, items will need to be wrapped in protective material and caution used during handling. The job will also require management of an inventory list that tracks all the items being moved for the customer. It is essential that this is as accurate as possible, as doing so will ensure that no items are misplaced or forgotten during moves. REQUIREMENTS - US Authorized Worker (E-Verify compliant) - Background Check - High School Diploma or equivalent QUALIFICATIONS - Previous experience - Reliable transportation - Ability to operate moving equipment and tools - Excellent communication skills - Reliable individual with a strong work ethic - Self-starter - Critical thinker - Neat, professional appearance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds. - Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push / pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time RESPONSIBILITIES - Lift, carry, and load items weighing up to 100 pounds, onto box trucks for transport from origin to destination - Disassembling and reassembling furniture and equipment - Maintain a tool kit for installation, assembly and breakdown of furniture or other items for transport. - Wrap furniture and other items in protective material to ensure no damage is done during transit - Deliver and setup furniture inside locations as required / requested within committed timeframes - Demonstrate the ability to protect all furniture from damage through established best practices - Pack and unpack items in an organized and efficient manner - Take inventory of items to ensure that no items are left behind or lost during move - Inspect trucks before and after trips, completing and submitting truck condition reports - May operate or drive vehicles such as forklift, trucks, golf carts, gators, etc. - Efficiently work in a team, as well as independently - Work site locations will vary
